Search Help

General Search Tips:

To search a physician in our database, you must enter the physician's first and last name, and the city and state where he or she is located. If one of these fields is not valued, you will receive a prompt to enter the required information. The more accurate information you enter, the greater the chance of finding your physician. Also, the search process is not case sensitive, which means the name can be entered in all capital letters or in all lower case letters.

Name Search Tips:

Can't find a particular doctor? First determine if you have the correct spelling of the physician's first and last name. If you are unsure of the exact spelling of the name, or if your search did not yield the desired results, spell the name the way it sounds. Our system will perform a "sounds-like" search and will return results that phonetically sound like the name you entered.

City, State Tips:

Since city and state are required fields, these fields must be valued in order to complete your search. If you are unsure of the city, enter a city name anyway. The search will not exclude a physician's name from the results because the city does not match. Also, it is important to note that many physicians have multiple office locations, so you may need to determine if you have a correct location for that physician. Outlined below are a few additional reasons why you may not be able to locate a physician in our database with the location you specified:
  • The physician has moved to a different location and the new business address has not been provided to us by one of our sources
  • The physician's location is listed in another city other than the one specified.
  • The physician has moved out of the United States or one of its territories.
If you continue to have difficulty locating a physician in our database, the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of our web site may be a helpful source for finding additional information. You may also send us an email at alpp@fsmb.org
